stretch of the river known as Triumphal Arch Rapids. There is an
interesting jog in the river here, and beautifully dissected deep
valleys in every direction.
This is a great map to explore this exotic
terrain from the comfort of your own home! Build yourself a campground

use of the Mesa Biome that there is!

Just for fun, I have decided to turn some memes and iconic cartoons into Minecraft maps. To start with, I have made a map of the cute Linux Penguin Tux, as well as the Trollface meme and the "Feels" Guy. What you choose to do with these maps is entirely up to you, and without much effort I can think of various uses for all these three maps - from practical jokes to custom themed maps or puzzles in part of an Adventure Map. The scale is large enough that it is tough to tell what the map is initially, and this makes it all the more fun!

The virtual tour of America's National Parks in Minecraft continues with
the tallest rock face in Yosemite National Park - El Capitan! This is
the holy grail for rock climbers around the world - over 3000 feet of
relief from valley floor to the top of El Capitan.
Enjoy a geologically and topographically accurate representation of
the sacred peak and valley. The cliffs are made of granite, while gravel
covers the lower slopes representing the scree or talus at the base of
the cliffs. The valley floor is filled with podzol to mimic the rich
soil that has developed in El Capitan Meadow since the last glaciation.
Red tulips are planted throughout the valley to add to the
ambiance and give wanderers and campers peace.
This map was intentionally made relatively small so that the extreme
relief of the El Capitan cliff would be maximized in the vertical
direction. It can be used by rock climbers to scout out new routes or by
anyone who wishes to visit one of the most beautiful places in the
world from the comfort of their own house!

sandstones capping the steep mesas as red, iron-rich sands and
sandstones fill the valleys, creating an interesting color gradient. The
desert environment prohibits most trees from growing up high on the
white sands, but the valley floors are filled with small pines clinging
to life in this pristine arid environment.
You will spawn atop of South Guardian Angel, a centralized
high-point with a great view in all directions. Wander around the park
and find your favorite valley or mesa to build your dream house on! Hike

for Minecraft! Using a high-quality Digital Elevation Model (DEM), the
actual elevation of the valley has been converted into a stunning
Minecraft Map!
Spawn on top of the iconic peak Half Dome and view the gorgeous glacial valley
below. Strap on an elytra and glide past Yosemite Falls like so many
daredevils do. Build yourself a small cabin in the valley at the foot of
the cliff like the early pioneers who settled in the valley.
This map is great for a unique real-world location transformed into

Mesa Racer 2.0 takes the same majestic
landscape and deep slot canyons found in the original title and
introduces an exciting new course design. Using advanced imaging
techniques, a constant and gradual decline was built in to the map.
This makes Elytra flight sustainable and allows you to choose your
own pace!
The same singleplayer concept of racing
against the clock remains, with a new multiplayer mode where you and
your friends can try to snipe each other while you are gliding. Is

Using a combination of free and agile movements, carefully planned
ammunition allocation, and deadly accurate attacks, you can battle

by walking, jumping, and toggling levers. Upon spawning, you will be
on a platform with information about how to play and what ammunition
you will receive. It may take a few tries to get used to the movement
while also fighting, but once you master this new motion you will
never view Minecraft PVP the same way again!
This game is designed for 2-5
people, although it is still possible to use the ships in singleplayer
mode. More than 5 people could play simultaneously with a little
coordination, you just need to move the ships from where they spawn. There are additionally a few Easter-Eggs and a secret game mode that can be unlocked with a little effort. A scoreboard keeps track of how many times each player has died, and can be reset along with the battle arena by stepping on a pressure plate near spawn.

The Real-World Crater Lake!

This design uses very specific commands and it is critical that the blocks are
placed in the right direction and powered in the right way or it will create a broken or runaway machine. For this
reason, I am
making the world file available for download rather than trying to describe how to build it.

The new repeat and chain command blocks in 1.9 offer an exciting new approach to building a teleporting machine. I have devised a way to teleport the player in any of the six directions that they choose at will. It acts as a sort of UFO, able to instantly move up, down, left, right, forwards, or backwards. Better yet, it can be built as large as you want and can contain dispensers and chests, meaning that this design could make for incredible battle ships or just survival moving ships to help you carry more items faster.
Movement in the X and Z directions are managed by 8 command blocks pointing toward the center of the ship. The positive X and Z directions are always active, while the negative X and Z directions only work if the central floor switch is powered. Because of this, it is recommended to leave this central floor switch powered when in motion. To go up, simply power the overhead switch and jump upward. To go down, make sure the overhead switch is off and then toggle the central floor switch off and back on.
The emerald and diamond blocks as well as the chests and redstone lamps are not absolutely critical to the design, but when looking at the ship from below it adds a nice effect. Be aware, because this ship uses the /clone command, it will destroy any blocks that you direct it through. This means that it could also act as a tunneling machine in survival or a griefing machine in some sort of factions or PVP scenario. Look forward to some battle maps using this design soon!
